Surgeon
Dr David Leong
Dr David Leong is a caring and highly experienced surgeon who specialises in endocrine and general surgery. He completed his medical degree at The University of Western Australia in 2011 and went on to complete his surgical training right here in WA.

To further deepen his skills, Dr Leong spent three years in advanced training at some of the leading endocrine surgery centres in Australia. This included specialised fellowships at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, The Austin Hospital in Melbourne, and the prestigious Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, where he held the T.S. Reeve International Fellowship.

Dr Leong currently works as a consultant surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus. He also has a strong interest in research and education, holding a Master of Public Health and publishing several articles in medical journals.
Above all, Dr Leong is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care. He’s passionate about helping his patients feel informed, supported, and confident at every stage of their surgical journey.

Dr Hieu Nguyen
Hieu Nguyen is one of the most experienced Endocrine Surgeons in Australia. Hieu obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001. Hieu went on to train in Endocrine Surgery at the prestigious Lille University Hospital in France. Mr Nguyen has been practicing for over 20 years in both public and private hospitals and involved in education of many surgeons.

He is the current president of the Western Australian Endocrine Surgical Society (WAES), an organisation consisting of Endocrine Surgeons which role is the advancement and maintaining the highest standard of care in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery in Western Australia. Hieu holds public appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus
